🫰🫰They’re creepy. They’re kooky. They’re officially cast… and we can’t wait to see what they dig up.🫰🫰

After summoning an extraordinary number of talented performers from across our community, we are thrilled...and just a little terrified...to introduce the cast of AOP’s The Addams Family! 🖤

The passion, preparation, and talent we saw throughout auditions made casting deliciously difficult. To everyone who shared their time, courage, and creativity with us: thank you. We are continually amazed by the depth of talent in our theatre community and deeply grateful that so many people wanted to join us in the darkness.

Now, please give a warm (ahem, or appropriately chilling) welcome to our Addams family, the Beinekes, and a spirited collection of Ancestors who simply refuse to stay buried. ⚰️🌙

🖤 What Auditioners Need to Know: The Addams Family 🖤

Getting ready to audition for The Addams Family? Here’s what to expect:

🎶 Vocal Audition
Prepare to sing one selection from the provided audition cuts.

🎭 Acting Audition
Choose a character and prepare the provided sides for that character.

💃 Dance Audition
All auditioners will also participate in a dance audition. Please bring socks or dance shoes as street shoes are not permitted on the dance floors.

Park in the lot at the corner of Cherry and 5th and enter through the doors off of 5th street. You will see the AOP sign outside of the door.

We will be taking our revels to a nearby green on Oct 4th in order to present to you our FIRST EVER Shakespeare in the Park 🩷

Have you seen this Production Team!!!!

This isn’t your average Addams Family. 🖤

While we’re keeping all the heart, humor, and wonderfully weird spirit that makes The Addams Family so beloved, our production team is taking some fresh takes, including creative choices you may have never seen in the show before!

One of the biggest? Our Ancestors.

Traditionally, the Ancestors are written as specific characters and identities. In our production, our directors are doing something a little different. Rather than asking our actors to fit predetermined Ancestors, each Ancestor will be created around the individual performer: their personality, strengths, talents, movement, and the unique energy they bring to the Addams world.

But we aren’t stopping there.

Our Ancestors will be woven into the story in new and creative ways throughout the production, becoming an even bigger part of the world unfolding onstage. They’ll help bring moments to life, add new layers to the storytelling, and pop up in places you might not expect.

Every Ancestor will have an identity and personality of their own… and every actor will have the opportunity to make their Ancestor completely unique.

It’s just one of the ways we’re putting our own spooky, unexpected stamp on this production while staying true to the heart of the characters and story everyone loves.

You may know the Addams Family… but you haven’t met this Addams Family yet. 🕸️🖤

We have added extra timeslots so you can have your chance to be summoned too!

Annnd if you didn’t know, we are going to have 7 performances with our final performance on Halloween being a matinee so you can still continue with the nights festivities as you may have already planned 😌
