As some of you know, my grandpa passed away on August 28th at 10:30 AM š I can say with certainty that none of our lives would be the same without him. He opened his doors to any and all that needed help. He wasnāt perfect but despite, and maybe even because of that fact, he gave people a place to recoup without judgement or pressure. Almost every single one of our family members lived with him at one point or another, usually at one of our lower points. I think thatās how he would have liked to be remembered, as someone who didnāt judge and gave people second, third, and even fourth chances, usually when we didnāt deserve it.
Oh and handsome! Heād like to be remembered as handsome :)
He was an incredible trumpet player, card player, pit boss, and you didnāt hear it from me, but I once heard something about āThe Hole in the Wall Gangā down in Vegas in his younger years ;) He lived an interesting life and he was one of my favorite people to argue with.
I love you forever Grandoggy ā¤ļøā¤ļø
These are some of my favorite photos of him. He was cooler than most of us will ever hope to be.
If anyone feels moved to, we are asking for donations to cover his funeral costs. Like everything right now, itās so much more expensive than we anticipated. Absolutely no stress but any little bit helps. And sharing always helps!
