I came across this photo of my great grandpa when I was looking through photos for the memorial and really fell in love with it. I never had the chance to meet him but it’s clear that our love of velvet runs deep. Still celebrating in the same house. Merry Christmas all ❤️

✨SEPTEMBER’S INTO LIST ✨

I saw another artist post their ‘obsessed’ list and loved the concept. It gives a little more behind the scenes view into what I’m into, what’s inspiring me and a way to organize all those random screenshots on my phone. Here’s some of those things :)

1. These incredible “toy theaters” that were popular in the early 1800s through the early 1900’s. This is a modern revival version. If anyone knows the artist please let me know!!

Thank you thank you thank you to Ben + Brynn for being my lil’ guinea pigs on these first couple of classes. You all did such an amazing job! Can’t wait for the next one. I’ll be doing a Halloween themed one this month so stay tuned 😈

As some of you know, my grandpa passed away on August 28th at 10:30 AM 💔 I can say with certainty that none of our lives would be the same without him. He opened his doors to any and all that needed help. He wasn’t perfect but despite, and maybe even because of that fact, he gave people a place to recoup without judgement or pressure. Almost every single one of our family members lived with him at one point or another, usually at one of our lower points. I think that’s how he would have liked to be remembered, as someone who didn’t judge and gave people second, third, and even fourth chances, usually when we didn’t deserve it.

Oh and handsome! He’d like to be remembered as handsome :)

He was an incredible trumpet player, card player, pit boss, and you didn’t hear it from me, but I once heard something about ‘The Hole in the Wall Gang’ down in Vegas in his younger years ;) He lived an interesting life and he was one of my favorite people to argue with.

I love you forever Grandoggy ❤️❤️

If anyone feels moved to, we are asking for donations to cover his funeral costs. Like everything right now, it’s so much more expensive than we anticipated. Absolutely no stress but any little bit helps. And sharing always helps!

I do love this one though, it was for Deerfield, FL and has all of the original local flora and fauna it was known for. Maybe I’ll make a print from it?

Hi all 👋🏼 Just a lil’ reintroduction. I’m Brooke, the one woman team behind this business. I’m originally from the island of Kauai but have traveled and lived all over the world since then, now I split my time between Reno and Sacramento. I love merging western and jungle vibes because of that. My degree is actually in Cultural Anthropolgy and I specifically studied public anthropology and ways to help with larger safety issues through cultural change. I’d love to figure out a way of merging those two worlds.

I get bored easily so you’ll notice I change mediums often! Hopefully it’s as fun for you guys as it is for me lol This year I’ve been focused on building more sustainable ways of creating vs. large projects and then burnout. During the warmer months you can catch be doing murals and spending as much time in the water with my pup Mia as possible. This winter I’m working on getting some classes and other fun market products ready. And STAINED GLASS, I really need to get back into it, so keep bugging me :) Thanks to everyone that’s been such a huge support for me the past several years ❤️
