Accepting applications for Director and Accompanist
Springboro Community Choir is currently looking for a Choir Director and an Accompanist, as our prior volunteers have scheduling conflicts preventing them from returning for the 2026-2027 season. Here are some details:
- Rehearsals/Performances (these are all held at Springboro Community Theatre, unless otherwise noted):
Fall Session:
Rehearsals are Saturday mornings, 9 a.m.–11 a.m., beginning September 12 and running through November 21. There is no rehearsal on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. There is a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, December 2, at 7pm.
Performances are Friday and Saturday, December 4 and 5, at 7pm, and Sunday, December 6 at 2pm. In addition, we may perform at Christmas in Springboro, which runs November 20-22. We plan to request a performance slot on either Saturday morning/afternoon or Sunday afternoon during that event.
Spring Session:
Rehearsals are Saturday mornings, 9 a.m.–11 a.m., beginning February 6 and running until approximately late April or early May, depending upon performances.
Performances are at area nursing homes and the Springboro Hometown EXPO. We will communicate these dates as soon as they are scheduled.
Compensation
A $400 stipend is paid to both the director and accompanist for each session (Fall and Spring). These stipends are payable on the date of the final performance for each session.
