Why do we love needlepoint? Because it tells a story that lasts beyond what you do with it. These two vintage chairs with wool needlepoint cushions are easily more than 50 years old, possibly more, and yet they are in perfect condition. Whether you’re making something that’s heirloom quality or just to help you get through carpool, what you make is special. And we’re so grateful we get to enjoy these beauties ❤️🪡

SURPRISE! Our email subscribers knew about this first, but we’re expanding our hours! We asked and you answered, so we’ll now be open all day on Fridays! We will be open from 10 am - 7 pm, perfect for you to come grab a kit while the kids are at school, or unwind with a glass of wine and stitching after work.

Our first Friday is going to be hosting the The Woodlands Needlepoint Club club, we can’t wait to have them. Join us to celebrate a Friday with friends 🥰

Our first exclusive!!!! We sell out of the IAH needlepoint canvas from Hedgehog Needlepoint LLC all the time, so we asked them to make us an exclusive needleminder!

We are so excited to be the only place to carry it, and will be sporting it on all of our canvases. As we’re so close to the airport, next time you fly through Houston stop by Storyteller’s Thread for the local luggage tag. We love it!

Julia’s finishing classes last month were such a hit, people were already begging her to come back! The professional finisher Julia Navik of Julia is coming back to Storyteller’s Thread in November in time for Christmas finishing. She will be teaching round, irregular, and square ornaments, but there is one class we’ve seen nowhere else: a pillow finishing class!

This very small class will take your stitched canvas, up to 12x12”, and turn it into a pillow with a mitered inset and self welt. There is an option for an extra ruffle or gusset add on as well.

This will sell out so get your ticket now so that you have a spot! You can definitely stitch a pillow by then!
