Cheeky Neko Studio is a one-person studio run by Jen Riehm. Jen is a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a degree in Comic Art. She adores cute things, and is heavily influenced by Japanese culture. The stripey cat is Shima-tan, Cheeky Neko's mascot.

It's a new month, so I figured it would be a good time to roll out my updated logo/color scheme!

While I do love tabby cats, black cats have a very special place in my heart, so I wanted to update my logo to reflect that. Also, I never really felt my colors were quite right, until now. Oddly enough, purple and teal (my favorite colors) actually represent su***de prevention and awareness, so that just further deepens its meaning for me ❤️

Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and look forward to more art posts in the future!

I've decided that 2024 will be the year of redos.

I have a few projects sitting around that I hadn't gotten around to that I plan to revisit, this time with a new approach. I am determined to start afresh.

So, to commemorate, here's a couple pieces I reworked because I wasn't satisfied with them. I left the old ones up for comparison's sake, but I'm much happier with these results. Here's to finishing more projects in a more satisfactory way 🌟

Just a little note that I'll be closing my sh0p up this weekend so I can relax for the holidays and not have to worry about shipping orders. So if there's something you want, now is the time to get it.

In the meantime, have some pics of my foster boys ❤️ You'd never guess they spent the first months of their lives outdoors with how well they've adjusted to indoor life in only a few days. I spent a lot of time socializing them and finally brought them inside last Sunday. Our other kitties are still adjusting, but they'll be fine (I'm keeping these two quarantined for now anyway).

Working on more Ghibli ornaments. These are mostly done, just waiting on my shipment of acrylic varnish 😅

It's Small Business Saturday, so I figured I'd try to add a few more items because I need the money >_> I've inadvertently become a feral cat caretaker over the last few months, and need supplies to keep the babies fed and warm.
