Hello Everyone. I am glad and relieved to let you all know that doctor has released me to gradually go back to normal. Starting this week, I will stay open until 5pm. It may not seem like much, but it will to me! I will still not be open on Sunday this week.
I will see how this week goes to see if this is enough or if I need more time before I add more hours. Thank you for your patience.

Temporarily I will be closed on Sunday’s. Probably only 3-4 weeks. I open late and am open only part-time now so it makes sense. When doc gives me more weight so I can get on the wheel and lift things, I can wedge clay it will make sense to extend my hours back to normal. I’m still getting tired also.
So for now I’m still opening at 10 and closing between 2-3 (push for 3) and will close Sunday. I think I should be able to expand again by 4 weeks.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Good morning Eva. Just a little post to let you know that a Beginner Class is open for enrollment to start 7/30, 5:30-8:30, 8-weeks of learning hand building from the beginning through coil building. Come and join us to get the feel of clay and learn how to make your own pieces.

I feel it has been forever but I am back part time starting Wednesday July 22, 2026. (Nick has a heart procedure on Tuesday). Hand building will be my forte for awhile per doctor.
I can answer questions about wheel if someone is working on a project.
I will be returning any calls that have been left while I was gone.
I will start a beginner class on Wednesday or Thursday. Since a couple gals made the request it’s up to them. I will post their decision after they get back to me.
It will be good to get back. I have missed the gallery and the studio.

Lovely Friday. Stitches out yesterday. I won’t be throwing clay for a little longer however I can hand build.
Therefore, I am going to start a beginners class on THURSDAY, JULY 22. I would like to run at 10-1 if that works for everyone. The other alternative is 2-5.
I’m coming back half days to start as he says I’m going to get tired quickly. Let me have your responses. You can enroll online or this one time we can deal with it first class.
I’m looking forward to normalizing my life, lol.

I’ll see doctor Thursday and have a better idea of when I can reopen the shop. Right now I can’t lift more than 5 # so there’s nothing I can do there.
Please let me know if there is interest for a one day workshop on BUILD YOUR OWN . If there is I’ll get someone to come and teach.

Are you interested in a MAKE YOUR OWN WORKSHOP?

I have had some inquiries about scheduling in July. I had a mishap and would hire a couple people to come in to assist if there was enough interest to put on one or two of these. I would love to fill up the studio with chatter, questions, laughter and camaraderie.

If this interests you please let me know. Hand building, I have templates, clay, your ideas. 10-12 seating is comfortable.

Workshops are $47.70 with tax.

The store will be completely closed from June 25 through June 29. If this has to be extended for any reason it will be posted here and at the store. Thank yo for your consideration.

This was just the Back Half of the line to get in opening morning to the Venders Hall, class rooms and lecture halls. They were real sticklers about not letting anyone in before 9:00am. I was in line to drop off my donated mug for the mug sale which took place on Friday morning. I’m happy to say it sold in the first half hour to someone! I would have been so embarrassed had it sat all morning or not sold at all. I opened the kiln on my way out of town and never got a picture!!

Ford and I forgot the other car mfg, had demos of how clay and ceramist help or fit in to the designing of cars today. One had the mini and you can see the designer drew the picture idea and then the ceramist uses clay to make the 3D model. The side is also made in detail. The other mfg made a full size model and actually paints parts like the tires and windows to get better focal iterations. It was wild to look at them take clay to add to model and use a rib to smooth it out to the shape the wanted. You don’t think about these other uses and occupations for work done in clay.
