Task Force Pineapple presents: "Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret" at the Spring Lake Theatre August 29, 7:30 PM and August 30, 2:00 PM.

Green Beret Danny Patton is a modern-day warrior fighting battles from tribal Afghanistan to his own living room. As the corrosive gears of war tear at his family, integrity, and soul, he is thrust into a final mission…one that reveals combat can be driven by vengeance or by love, depending on the price you’re willing to pay.

Last Out is a powerful one-act play drawn from the experiences of America’s longest war, told through heartfelt storytelling by a unique cast of combat veterans and military family members, exposing the unseen emotional and mental costs of war on our nation’s defenders and their families.

Visit springlaketheatre.com for tickets and more information about the play.

Reminder: Auditions are this week for Bye Bye Birdie! We hope to see you there!

The Spring Lake Theatre is pleased to welcome Lydia Baldassarre and Emily Gilman Beezley, and announce the opening of their two person art exhibition “Body and Soul”.

From June 22 to July 26, the Spring Lake Community House Upper Gallery located on the second floor inside the Spring Lake Theatre is exhibiting “Body and Soul", the works of Lydia Baldassarre and Emily Gilman Beezley. The ‘Body’ in the title speaks to both artists showing a cohesive body of work; pieces that share a consistent theme, style, medium, and concept. In addition, Gilman Beezley’s “Pedestal” series depicts vases that symbolize women’s bodies. The ‘Soul’ of the title is informed by the artists’ essence, channeling their life journeys and emotions onto canvas. Viewers are challenged to press pause upon viewing these artworks and discover what relations these pieces have to themselves.

Join us for the opening reception on June 22, 6-8 PM.

The Upper Gallery is sponsored by Christ Smith Realty. For more information about the exhibition, visit springlaketheatre.com/upper-gallery

If you're tuning in to the Tony Awards on Sunday, keep an eye out for a familiar face! A former student at Lake Theatre and Dance Academy, Nick Barrington will be familiar to many members of our audience from his roles as Michael in Peter Pan, Tiny Tim in Scrooge, and Michael Banks in Mary Poppins at the Spring Lake Theatre. Nick is currently playing The Little Boy in Ragtime at Lincoln Center on Broadway, and he'll be performing with the cast during Sunday's Tony Awards broadcast. Ragtime has been nominated for 11 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical!

We couldn't be prouder and can't wait to cheer on Nick and the cast of Ragtime!
