💔 A Race Against Time: Help Us Find Our Dad’s 1969 LeMans Blue Corvette
I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a glimmer of hope.
Our dad was recently diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s at just 55 years old. It’s a cruel, fast-moving disease that is slowly stealing the man we know. As his world becomes more confusing and his memories begin to fade, we are desperately trying to find the one "anchor" that has always been a part of his soul: His original 1969 LeMans Blue Corvette Stingray.
More Than Just Metal and Paint
We didn't just grow up with this car; we grew up in it. We remember the specific smell of the interior, the roar of the engine that announced Dad was home, and the way he looked behind the wheel—proud, happy, and full of life.
Because of the financial strain of his care, we recently had to sell his newer Corvette. It was a heartbreaking but necessary choice. Now, our only dream is to bring his original '69 back to the driveway. We know that while names and dates might be slipping away, the feeling of those T-tops off and the gear shift in his hand is "hardwired" into him. We want to give him that one familiar piece of himself back while he can still enjoy it.
