Our final Senior Spotlight is: Ella Grayham
High School: Paola

College: University of Montana
Major: Nursing
Add’l teams: GRIZ Dance team

Favorite memory: all the late nights in the hotels with my mom and Mrs. Hannah

Favorite dance that you performed: Welcome to the moulin rouge and Elton

Any teacher shoutouts: Hannah - I wouldn’t be where I am without Mrs. Hannah. She has been there for me rooting me on and became one of my biggest supporters.

Bobbi - You have been there since day 1. You are the kindest person I know and have helped build me to the dance I am.

Cayla - Dancing along side Ms. Cayla to now her being my teacher is such a full circle moment. Thank you for pushing me to always strive for more.

McKayla - thank you for always pushing me to be better. You never doubt me and always pushed me to strive for the greatest.

Jeremy - I remember taking your class as a little kid, to now being the oldest in your class. I couldn’t thank you more for always striving for greatness and pushing me to be the best.

Darian - HUGE thank you to Ms. Darian for helping me through the college recruitment process. I wouldn’t be where I am without you.

Morgan - Ms. Morgan this may be your first year with us but I have loved learning from you. Class with you is so fun and you just light up the room.

Ali - Mrs. Ali I’m so grateful for the time we had together, it wasn’t a lot but I’m glad I got to learn from you and know you.

Kendal- thank you so much for always believing in me. I am the dancer I am today because of you. You inspire me.

Mom- thank you for creating such a beautiful and loving space. I’m so happy I get to call Reign my home.

Advice for younger dancers: Never let jealous people put you down, instead use it as a way to push yourself even more. Take advantage of every dance opportunity there is!

Anyone you would like to thank? My parents for making me the person I am. They have taught me that hard work and never giving up pays off. They also pushed for me to chase my dreams. Thank you mom for driving me across the country for every college clinic and thank you dad for paying for all those opportunities.

Any teacher shoutouts: 
Shoutout to Mrs. Hannah for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself and for always being someone I could come to throughout my many years dancing with her. Also shoutout to Cayla for pushing me every class to improve despite me thinking I was not good at something.

Advice for younger dancers: As a senior, my biggest advice to younger dancers is to go out on stage and give every performance your whole heart. Don’t focus so much on placements or trophies, because years from now you probably won’t even remember what place you got at a competition. What you will remember is the feeling of being on stage, the memories you made, and the stories you told through your dancing. Perform with emotion, have fun, and let yourself truly enjoy every moment. Time goes by so much faster than you think, and before you know it, you’ll be approaching your last recital wishing you could do it all again. Cherish the little moments now, make friendships, listen to your teachers, and soak everything in while you can. Dance becomes so much more than just competitions; it becomes a family, a home, and some of the best memories you’ll ever have.

Anyone you would like to thank?
I would like to thank my parents for always reassuring me even when I didn’t do as well as I wished. They never made dance feel like something I HAD to do, they simply wanted me to enjoy it, and that means so much to me.

The countdown is on until our dancers hit the stage and become the superheroes of recital weekend. Costumes are sparkling, music is blasting, and the excitement inside the studio is BIG right now.

Hannah, Cayla, and Mrs. Bobbi believed in me in ways I didn’t believe in myself. They pushed me to be a better person and dancer. I strive to have the drive and passion they have for life and dance. I will never be able to thank them enough for throwing fuel on a dying fire when I joined Reign.

Advice for younger dancers: It’s never too late. If you want it, you can do it. Nothing comes easy, so push yourself and reach your goals. You are blessed to have the opportunities you have, so make the most out of it. Don’t take any opportunity for granted because any little dancer would love to have the chances you do.

Anyone you would like to thank? I would like to thank my family. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. I would like to specifically thank my mom. Not only has she sacrificed many hours to my passion, but didn’t complain once. She has always been my personal cheerleader and my success is just as much hers as it is mine.
