Today on we have a delicious fudge recipe for you! This fudge recipe is called four and one-half minute fudge. It was originally submitted by Mr. Alden (Lorraine) Solum to the original Dorcas Cookbook.

Are you descended from someone who contributed to the original Dorcas Cookbook? We want to hear from you! Please fill out the form linked in the comments and share a recipe that's currently special to your family with us.

FOUR AND ONE-HALF MINUTE FUDGE

4½ cup sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
3 bars German sweet chocolate
2 pkgs. chocolate chips
1 t vanilla
1 pt. jar marshmallow cream (or 18 marshmallows cut-up)
½ t salt
1 cup nuts

Boil sugar and evaporated milk exactly 4½ minutes. Add rest of ingrediants. Stir until all is melted. Pour into a buttered pan (8 x 16). Cut in squares. Makes 5 pounds of candy and can be cut when used
