One week ago, just as we heard the fires were spreading and the growing number of firefighters were in need of food, Beverly and Ruth immediately got to work. Before we could get word regarding the exact type of need and number of firefighters, these two ladies had baked massive amounts of cookies, purchased protein bars (not an easy feat where we live in such isolation!) and packed other food in their cars and delivered it all to the Spray Grange, where firefighters were told they could find it. One week later, they are discussing with other townspeople how we can do an even better job when the need arises once again. Dedication, personified! ❤️

During the current fires in Wheeler County, our firefighters have been working long hours in challenging conditions to protect lives, homes, ranches, and our community. While they have been on the fireline, countless members of our community have been working just as hard behind the scenes.

To the individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and volunteers who have delivered meals, snacks, drinks, ice, supplies, and words of encouragement—thank you.

Your generosity has meant more than you know. Every meal served, every cooler stocked, every care package delivered, and every kind gesture has lifted the spirits of our firefighters and reminded them that they are not facing this challenge alone.

Your kindness doesn’t just fuel our bodies—it fuels our mission.

The show must go on! Yes, the Crop Pop-Up will still be happening this Saturday 11am-1pm at the Spray General Store. Fresh lettuce, cabbage, onions and more. Come and support your local farmers. ❤️
