Stage Left Theater is proud to present our Legacy Show of Season 13, A Walk In The Woods by Lee Blessing. Running May 8-24, 2026

A Walk In The Woods was last produced at Stage Left almost 12 years ago, directed by Janelle Frisque and with Billy Hultquist as John Honeyman and Bob Nelson as Andrey Botvinnik, and we are honored to reprise the show with direction by Pam Kingsley and featuring Lacey Olson as Jane Honeyman and Marek Nelson as Andrey Botvinnik.

Nominated for both a Tony award and a Pulitzer Prize and inspired by a real-life incident during 1982 peace talks in Geneva, A Walk In The Woods focuses on the complicated and often-strained relationship between a Soviet Diplomat (Nelson) and American Negotiator (Olson) over a year of negotiation. Away from the glare of the negotiating table and among the tranquility of the woods, discussions take place that hold life-changing potential for both diplomats and the countries they serve.
