In two weeks, we will be closing our part of the downtown location that we share with Terrain Gallery and shifting back to a mobile organization with an online shop. If you have a membership, it will remain in full effect unless you choose to cancel it. For members and CCBA supporters who are local to Spokane, we recognize that seeing and selecting the books in-person is likely an important part of your membership experience, however, you CAN continue to select books from our online shop and they will be shipped or personally delivered to you.

Our downtown location will be open from 10-6 on both Saturday, October 29th and Saturday, November 5th for shopping and browsing. If neither of those dates is available to you and you’d still like to access the collection in-person during the next two weeks, please reach out to us and we will arrange a time ❤️

We are so grateful for the trust and support our little CCBA community has shown us. Meeting the people who have visited and encouraged our mission has, by far, been my favorite part of this experience!

Next Saturday, the morning of our Book Arts Fair, we will have a special Mixed Media Map workshop with artist Melissa Lang ().

Registration for the workshop is free and includes a book— either The Last Mapmaker by Christina Soontornvat (), a novel with adventure, Fantasy, Thai culture/caste system, and conmen as fathers OR The Last Mapmaker by Kari Allen and G.Brian Karas, an illustrated hardcover about mapmaking and perspective.

11am - 12pm

Open to all ages (parents need to accompany children under age 7)
