“The Wanderer” • 20x13” • Oil on linen

Hey everybody! First of all it has been a long since I’ve shared some art with you. I have some exciting updates to reveal soon. This last year I’ve been able to continually paint, but the social media has had to take a backseat. I’m excited to be back as well as tell you a bit about the direction my art is headed in some of the upcoming posts!

This piece sold at Western Art Week 2024 and it was so fun meeting Steven and Ann who bought this piece for their daughter.

At the time I painted this piece, I really stretched myself with exploring my vision of what I wanted to create beyond what my photo references could tell me. Inspired by some of the adventures I’ve had in Montana with billy goats. God’s world is so incredible!

This is a sketch of my grandpa. We call him Papa Boy and he is as tough as they come!

I started this sketch to get some practice in for a portrait demo I was doing for a class at Spokane Art School. I started it in my mini sketchbook and then liked how it was looking so I carried it further. It is a very tiny drawing 😂. I’ve enjoyed drawing people a lot recently and mixing it up.
