Brian, portrait 2/2. Brian is a ceramic artist, beer lover, and overalls wearer. He makes everything to mugs and pots to entire human torsos. We even shared a beer poured into handmade mugs as we made these portraits together. It's hard to look anywhere in his apartment without seeing one of his pieces. Brian lives and breathes his work and I really admire that.

Gavin, portrait 2/2. Gavin is a senior at Gonzaga University and the student photographer for the marketing department here on campus. It's been really cool to watch him grow as a photographer and start to carve out what he wants his post-grad life to look like. Ellen Picken, in front of a mural she painted in downtown Spokane. I've known Ellen for just over a year, but it feels like I've known her for so much longer. She is an incredible artist, half of Factory Town, and partner to my good friend Rajah Bose. Oh, and we both decided to leave that rotten banana next to her foot. Portrait 2/2.

I've known Rajah for 7 years now; first as a mentor and now a friend. He's a bit of a renaissance man. Photography, film, music, production...he does it all. He even started Factory Town with the wonderful Ellen Picken (her portraits coming soon!) and they're doing great things in Spokane and beyond. It was an honor to shoot him in their studio space for this new series.
