Due to permitting issues, we have no choice but to cancel this year's Perry Street Shakedown. It is with much regret and sadness that we are writing this, and while we don't know what the future holds for our festival, we hope to return at some point in the future.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for all of your support these past two years, and our apologies for how this panned out.

Thank you for making the Shakedown everything that it has been, we hope to see you again.

Whattup beautiful people,
Zac Fawcett here, creator and director of Perry Street Shakedown. Just wanted to take a minute to reach out to this wonderful community and neighborhood and say THANK YOU for such overwhelming support of this festival. In the two years of running this show, I never would've guessed this event to have grown into what it became last year (5,000 strong forcing a grass-roots street closure for Sir Mix!!??)... Truly awesome!
I am writing today with a bittersweet mix of sorrow, excitement, and elation to announce that I am passing-off this festival to a candidate who will do great things for the event as I move to MT to start a summer of raft guiding in Glacier National Park.
There will be some big changes this year... All for the better, and I ask for your continued support of this event and it's new artistic director as we evolve and move forward. I will miss working at South Perry Pizza, performing for you in REAL LIFE ROCKAZ, Flying Spiders, et al, but I will miss all of you sexy intelligent people who've embraced the smallest ideas and efforts that've made manifest remarkable cultural experiences in this often bleak time/place we reside. Big ups to all the movers and shakers in Spokane, and to all of YOU! It's been unreal! My deepest gratitude to all of you!!!👏🏼

After catching up on some needed rest, I just wanted to hop back on here and express my deepest gratitude to everyone who supported the second annual Perry Street Shakedown. The reception and enthusiasm was immense, and I just wanted to thank everyone who helped make it happen: John Siok, South Perry Pizza crew, NoLi Brewhouse, The Lantern Tap House, Perry Street Brewing, Spokane Buddhist Temple, Hoffman Music, Jimmie Denny, Matt Mitchell, Brett Bellinger, Peaceful Valley Living, ALL OF THE INCREDIBLE BANDS and DJs!!!
