Thank you SCT for selecting My Turn Theater as beneficiary of their sensory awareness charity program. Community collaboration and support is what keeps us thriving and providing wonderful art opportunities for us all artists of all abilities.
After the overwhelming success of our first Sensory Friendly Performance of Shrek, Spokane Children's Theatre is proud to announce the continuation of Sensory Friendly Productions as part of our 80th season.
The response from families and individuals who attended made one thing clear: there is a need and a desire for live theatre experiences that are welcoming and accessible for those who may not be able to attend a traditional performance.
As we expand this program, Spokane Children's Theatre is also excited to partner with local nonprofit organizations whose missions support individuals with a variety of different needs. Through these partnerships, we hope to not only make theatre more accessible, but also shine a light on the incredible work these organizations do every day.
All Sensory Friendly Performances will be offered on a "pay what you can" basis. Every dollar raised from these performances will be donated directly to the nonprofit partner associated with that production, allowing each performance to support both inclusive theatre and an important cause within our community.
