Still in the process of reorganizing my space, but in the meantime I had to show you all my new toy! This is my new Artristic Rotating Easel (not a sponsor 🙂), which will allow me to easily angle and rotate my canvas in any direction that I like! With the adjustable arms and anchors, it also accommodates canvases all the way up to 4ft x 4ft, making this absolutely perfect for all sizes of canvas I've used so far!

Compared to simply laying canvas down on metal grates like I have, this should open up all kinds of new ways for me to approach fluid art, and will GREATLY simplify my attempts to work within a small space. I'll very likely stop using a table to do my pours almost entirely from here -- once I can get things fully reorganized that is. I'm also working on finding a space to use as an art studio, which will give me even more freedom! So far I've needed to be very careful about containing runoff paint and preventing it from splattering all over carpet and walls.

As you can see, I already have a canvas loaded....what will I be making next??? Stay tuned!

Something very special is coming....art equipment reveal in the next couple days! I'm excited to show you! 😍

Hi friends! I've taken some much needed time off once again, to handle some things personally, and to renew and focus my creative energy, as well as make some decisions about the direction I'm taking my art as a whole. If you're still tuning in, I appreciate your support! The outpouring of love I feel from others in response to my art, which I've always done primarily for my own catharsis, has been a continuing source of joy for me.

Below I'll share some of the works I've done in the interim, which I hope you enjoy!

Additionally, I currently have some new gear on the way which will help me develop my process even further, and I am very excited to get to work and share what I come up with. Look forward to more in the near future. 😊

2ft x 2ft (1.375" profile)

Sometimes as an artist, you set out to create a new type of piece and find that nothing goes according to plan. When that happens to me, I tend to take it in a completely different direction -- and hope that where my mind failed, harnessing raw emotion and chaos will push me to the finish line. At the very least in that case, it WILL be an expressive piece.

In the end I'm quite happy with this one. I'd done almost an entire pour (likely somewhere in the neighborhood of 16-20oz of mixed paint) and absolutely hated what I got. I could have continued to play with it, but I was sure that the paint had already set into the canvas too much for me to fix what was there. I didn't have enough time.

So, I got mad and started scraping all the paint off. But I didn't want to waste it, so I scooped the goopy lavender mess off my workmat and hurled it at the canvas, which gave me a new base coat. Then I thought, eh screw it, and started throwing, slapping, splattering, dripping, dumping...all of the paint that I had mixed. I guess my Jackson Po***ck influence is showing.

By the way, if you ever get an opportunity to violently throw paint at a canvas, I recommend it. Very cathartic 🤷😂

I am riding this wave of creative energy with all my might. It's been so much fun these last couple of weeks!💙🍃💛

Here are some closeups for 3 of my newer pieces! It's no substitute for seeing them in person, but I thought it might be fun to point out a few of the finer details. 😄
