My most recent commission piece! 9x12 Watercolour!
I was asked to paint their 3 adorable kitties, as they didn’t have a photo of all their cats together. And although they found it hard to send references due to the kitties playful camera avoiding nature, I feel it turned out wonderful!
(Other animal paintings I’ve recently painted all together before the cats are sent off to their new home)

Whilst I wait for my isopropyl and blending solution to come in (necessary for alcohol ink work), I found myself dabbling more with watercolours.
I feel both ink and watercolour work is very similar as any mistake could ruin a piece, I build layers and blend the colours.. Light to dark, leaving spaces for luminance.. knowing what tone would work where. My main goal in this was to match the background colours with the kittens eyes and fur. Colours are repeated throughout to keep consistency. ☺️✨

After months of not having art supplies and before that having them boxed up to be shipped across the world uk ✈️ Washington State.
I managed to sit down and painted this cute dog with the watercolour paints 🤩 (the house is nearly unpacked woop!)
Sometimes I get so swallowed up in my crazy colours and my ink and all my weird creatures that I need to step back, take a look. If I can take the skills from painting something “real” I can apply them to the surreal easier. A strong house can’t stand without a strong foundation and that’s something I always try to keep in mind. In short, I’ve had a long break without a means to paint for months, I needed to make sure I could paint the real before diving back in. :) I think he turned out beautiful.
I name this cute pup “walkies!” 😂
I also do pet art commissions-wink wink nudge nudge- 😂 .......

Skull/zombie In alcohol ink and detailed with posca pen on Yupo paper.
“It’s what’s inside that counts”
Pulling inspiration from old animation design and the monsters of the 80’s and 90’s with the neon colours and almost dripping in slime.
I liked the little touches, the ink bleeding into the eye. I did contemplate covering it up, but it these little things that I enjoy about the medium. The imperfections.

Life has been, for the most part, busy.
Amongst travelling, there have been appointments.
However I have been finding more and more time for my art again.
This piece has been somewhat satisfying to create :)

Rubber hose style devil design, crawling out of a mouth. Alcohol ink and posca pen on yupo paper.

It’s been a while since I’ve completed a physical piece of work opposed to some digital stuff (which I’ll upload soon)which will be turned into physical work too.
But life is getting easier.

I challenged myself to actually create a “detailed” image with the unpredictability of the alcohol ink.
There were times I felt like I wanted to give up. The lips looked like playdoh and making the lines on the devil fur and lips was mind numbing. As everything wanted to blur together.

But by doing this I found out some techniques to work with in the future. And I don’t think it turned out too bad l, bringing colour too horror. 🙏🏻 kinda trippy. ✨

I’m a lowbrow artist and illustrator, originally from the UK and now currently living in near Spokane in Washington, with a passion for the old style of cartoons from the 1920s
This style is often referred to as “Rubberhose” as their limbs often resembled that as such.
I’m a lover of scifi horror and fantasy, and as such there maybe a slight element in my work.

My preferred method is alcohol ink and as such each original image even if I create it with the same sketch, will never be the same as the last. Making each one unique.

Watercolours are also a method I’m quite passionate about and I have the capabilities to create work digitally with adobe software.
So not just ink work but other methods of crwation are in my arsenal!
I’m a somewhat versatile artist and if you have a particular style you wish for me to use I will review and tell you if I can match it or not.

For commission work I will often charge a fee upfront, as if I spend time creating work you don’t think you want anymore I need compensation for my time, however this will go towards the final outcome of the piece.

I also offer prints of particular pieces, so if you see something you like that is slightly out of the price range and don’t mind purchasing a print for a lower cost that is absolutely fine also.

If you see me at an artfair/convention/market and my prices seem cheaper, that’s because they are!
People get a discount if you catch me in the wild.

A recent commission piece I’ve created.
A mother and child, in water colour.
This isn’t my usual style however, this is to match a previous piece of artwork the client had done by someone else, and now no longer able to reach the artist.
Trying to match someone else’s style was a challenge but I’m somewhat happy with how it turned out. 😊

Smoking’ Skull in alcohol ink and posca pen on yupo paper. A4 size.
I have so many appointments to attend the last couple weeks that I have hardly had the time to ink.
In all honesty I start to feel a bit agitated if I can’t create when I want too. 😅
I’ve got a few sketches that need inking out though. This one was a fairly fun design, it didn’t take too long which was good fitting in around the busy days 😩 just need to varnish still though. I used gold ink and pearl on the cigar and smoke to add slight shimmer when the light catches it.
I love the unpredictability of alcohol ink just throwing caution to the wind and going “let’s goooooooooo!” 😂🤙🏻........

I never got a chance to post this Cthulhu before he sold. (Due to my hectic life)
However here is a photo I took. :)

Thankfully he has found himself a new home to cheer him up :)

You never know what will happen with alcohol ink, so I was pleased how he turned out :)
