🌟SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🌟
It’s that time of year where we recognize our seniors! First up is Emilyna, who has been at our studio for 15 years ❤️ Here is a note from Emilyna:
Hi everyone,
I’ve been dancing at Blekers for 15 years, and honestly, it feels like my second home. Dance has always been such a significant part of my life. I have countless memories from over the years, but one of my favorites is the excitement of showing my family all the dances I’ve worked hard on throughout the year.
When I look back on it, three things always seem to go together—dancing, laughing, and chocolate. That pretty much sums up what Blekers means to me. It’s not just about dance but also joy, connection, and memories that last a lifetime.
Blekers will always be a part of me. Whether it’s me dancing, my sisters, or even one day my kids, this place will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I want to thank my mom for being my number one supporter. She’s been there for me through everything, especially when no one else was. And to my grandparents, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for always prioritizing my performances in your lives. Knowing you were there, cheering me on, meant everything to me. Your love and presence gave me confidence and made every show even more special.
I also want to thank Missy and Peyton for being incredible teachers and for making Blekers a place where memories are created for everyone who walks through those doors. Thank you for being such a huge support system to my family and me during our ups and downs. Your kindness, patience, and love have supported us more than you’ll ever know.
One quote that sticks with me is: “Sometimes, you don’t even realize you’re making memories—you just know you’re having fun.”
That’s exactly what Blekers has been for me. It’s more than a studio. It’s where I found my joy, strength, and second family.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of my journey. No matter where life takes me, a piece of my heart will always belong to Blekers and the people who have helped shape who I am today.
As I step into the next chapter, I’m reminded of Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
With faith in what’s ahead and gratitude for where I’ve been, thank you, truly.
