A Taste of Black Theatre 2 is a genre-defying, multi-act stage production that fuses drama, poetry, music, and memory to honor ten years of Black storytelling and resistance.

Rooted in the heart of Memphis, the play follows a beloved auto shop facing foreclosure, an African hair salon brimming with sisterhood and immigration struggles, and a musical r***e that resurrects the voices of cultural icons like Whitney, Prince, and Luther. As past and present collide, legacy is tested not just in deeds and property, but in voices passed hand to hand.

Blending the sacred and the everyday, A Taste of Black Theatre 2 is both a battle cry and a homecoming an unapologetic reminder that Black stories don’t just survive; they build, sing, braid, and fight back. This isn’t just theatre. It’s inheritance.
