The MSHG team was honored to assist our friends at Wofford College this past Thursday for the Board of Trustees dinner as we celebrated the incredible service of outgoing Chairman Chris Carpenter and Vice Chairwoman Ashley Richardson Allen, while also recognizing 13 years of leadership and a well deserved retirement for President Nayef Samhat.

We were proud to bring together some of our amazing staff members from Gerhard's Cafe , Isla's on the Square , and Delaney's Irish Kitchen & Pub - Spartanburg along with our friends at C&S Events and Catering to help serve such a special evening for the Wofford community.

Nayef and his wife, Prema, have been tremendous supporters of Wofford College, the Spartanburg community, and the entire MSHG family of restaurants throughout the years. Wofford is stronger because of the dedication, leadership, and service of Nayef, Ashley, and Chris, and when Wofford grows stronger, Spartanburg grows stronger too.

Cheers to Nayef, Prema, Ashley, and Chris for everything you’ve done for our community. Your impact will be felt for many years to come. 🥂

We are on the Move!
The team that created Citizens and Southern Events is relocating from downtown Spartanburg to a larger, more flexible venue and onsite parking called the . The new space, designed as a premier destination for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations, is located at 100 Southport Road on the city’s Westside.
We’re moving at the end of April with the assistance of premier moving experts . Message us for one last event, party or meeting at our downtown location before we head West 10 minutes.
