ATTN: We will be placing no parking signs up in Memorial Park near the ball fields. We ask that all players and fans watching games please park in the designated parking lot just west of the ball fields. Parking in any city park is violation of Sec. 22-26 as noted below. This has become a safety concern with all the vehicle parked in the grass and children running between them to get to the restrooms or concession stand. We have had some close calls and feel it is time to enforce the NO PARKING ordinance again. Thank you for cooperating with this concern. We have highlighted the specific area of concern but no parking in city parks applies to all grass areas unless approved. Parking is only allowed in parking lots.

Sec. 22-26. - Motor vehicles in parks.
(a)No person shall operate, drive, park or allow to stand, any motor vehicle, including motorcycles, in any city park, including the municipal golf course, except on any established roadways and parking areas. This subsection shall not apply to motorized golf carts operated on the city golf course and shall not apply to any city owned vehicles or equipment, or other vehicles and equipment operating or parked on park grounds with authority of the park director or the park board. Any person violating this section shall pay a forfeiture of not less than $100.00 nor more than $500.00.(b)Any person who, in the course of violating subsection (a) of this section, caused damage to the park grounds or other city property, shall pay a forfeiture of not less than $100.00 nor more than $500.00.
