Wild Island, the biggest little locally owned and operating waterpark and family entertainment complex in the West, first opened with the Waterpark in June 1989. Today, Wild Island boasts a multitude of year-round family fun including Wild Island Waterpark and Coconut Bowl. Coconut Bowl family entertainment center includes 38 lanes of bowling excitement plus 8 more lanes in our two private party garages, XD Adventure Theater, High Ballocity interactive three-level play structure, Pirate Cove indoor black light mini golf, two 18-hole outdoor mini-golf courses, one-of-a-kind glowing electric go-kart track that races through a black light jungle, the most technologically advanced laser tag arena available, over 100 of the newest arcade games, and unique self-shopping arcade redemption store. And if that's not enough, we also have multiple pool tables and TVs throughout the facility, two bars, Water Dogs Sports Bar and Grill, and the NEW Taco! Food truck.

High Ballocity is getting a fresh new look!🥳🚧

High Ballocity will close beginning Monday, August 31 as we make way for an updated play structure featuring refreshed areas and exciting new features. We’re planning to reopen in late fall!

Slide, splash, dash and one incredible sunset! 🌅💦🏃

We were proud to host and sponsor the 2nd Annual Reno Running Company Slide Splash Dash Waterpark Triathlon alongside Brooks Running.

During this one-of-a-kind timed event, participants ran, climbed, slid and splashed their way through the course, seeing how many laps they could finish before time ran out!

Together, the event raised more than $8,000 for Sierra Endurance Sports, helping provide proper footwear to local student-athletes so they can focus on pursuing their athletic goals.👟💚

Thank you to Reno Running Company, Brooks Running and everyone who participated and supported such a fun evening for an even greater cause! And a huge shoutout to all our Wild Island team members who worked behind the scenes to make the event happen! 🌴👏

Waterpark Update!⛈️

Due to the projected weather, the Waterpark will not be opening today, Friday, August 28 from 4pm to 7pm.

But the fun doesn’t have to stop! Coconut Bowl is open today from 10am to 11pm with plenty of indoor fun to keep your Friday going.🎳🕹️🏎️💨

The good news? This weekend’s forecast is looking much better! We’re planning to be open Saturday & Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Fingers crossed for some sunshine and another weekend of Waterpark fun!🤞☀️💦

A DUCK DASH TO REMEMBER!🦆💦

Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting the Renown Health Children’s Miracle Network Duck Dash benefiting Renown Children’s Hospital right here at the Waterpark!☀️

Over 1,100 little rubber ducks took on one of our most iconic slides, Zulu, racing their way down the mat racer to help select the event’s lucky winners.🦆🌊

But the best part was getting to share the day with some incredible Children’s Miracle Network families and Miracle Kids. We’re grateful to Renown, Children's Miracle Network and everyone who came together to support local children and families. We were proud to contribute to the cause alongside our community.💛

And a HUGE shoutout to our awesome Wild Island management team who put in the time, creativity and teamwork to make a duck race down Zulu actually happen.👏 You guys are the best!

We were so happy to play a part in such a meaningful day for our community. Thanks for making a splash with us! 🦆💦💚

Monday & Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday: 4pm to 7pm
Thursday: CLOSED
Friday: 4pm to 7pm
Saturday: 11am to 7pm

Exciting changes are underway at Coconut Bowl!🚧

Starting Monday, August 17, our Water Dogs Bar & Grill ordering counter is getting a refresh to create an even better experience for our guests! While the work is underway, the Waterdogs counter will be closed through late Fall 2026.

The good news? You can still order all your Water Dogs favorites! Just choose whichever option is easiest for you:

• Find and scan a QR code to order right from your phone
• Use one of our convenient self-serve kiosks located throughout Coconut Bowl
• Stop by our temporary ordering desk next to the High Ballocity birthday party area

Once your order is ready, we’ll bring it right to your table, so there’s no need to wait at a pickup counter! The only thing changing is how you place your order. All the delicious food is still here waiting for you! 🌭🥗🌮🍕

Thanks for your patience while we make improvements. We can’t wait to share the refreshed space and all the added convenience it will bring.✨
