I finished this beautiful project the other day! I want to get back to sharing regularly, but know that I’ve been doing a ton of work behind the scenes, working 24/7 on my biggest project yet along all these other commissions and side projects (more to come on top secret project later 🤫).

We live in a culturally diverse part of town, with wonderfully sweet neighbors who come from many walks of life, with a lot of rich cultural history. This box is also right next to an elementary school, and near one of the biggest intersections in our city, so I really wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate the rich community here and hope that it inspired kids walking to school each morning to be uniquely themselves. 🌺

The front, with the girl, is a photo taken by Ludovic Delot, of a young girl with the rose crown, which reminded me so much of Frida Kahlo, I had to add a nod to her with the gold behind her head from my painting years ago.

The back with the cactus flower represents all the different colors and types of people. It represents the joy and beauty of belonging and the central focus of the design together. It represents beauty in diversity and strength in resilience when we stand tall together.

Special thanks to for my beautiful doodle method help! It was the most beautiful doodle, I had a hard time painting over it. 😍😍

Dear journal,

Over a month has gone by and still reminiscing about the show. So grateful for everyone who showed up, and bought prints, and work. I still struggle to feel worthy of the love and compassion shown to me by my friends and family.

Within a month, I’ve been pretty quiet over all, just simmering in the spring air, walking amount the brush in the hills and breathing in fresh air that has a twist of something exciting on the horizon. I’ve been scheming and growing in ways I never expected and I feel those growing pains as I grieve my past self and life before this moment.

Daniel and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary a few days ago and I’m beyond grateful for the most kind, steady and gentle man I could ever have the pleasure of knowing, let along have him as my best friend. Thank you universe for sending me him.

Life has been busy, and I’m excited for the summer adventures that will follow… after all, everything in life changes so why not look forward to it?

It’s a celebration of the queens in our life.

They all are your sister, auntie, friend, mother or daughter.

They all have dreams, loves, loves, losses. They’ve all shared with me so much confidence and trusted me with their image, to share them with the world on such a large scale. Large enough to take up space.

The idea for this part of the Harmonia Feminae series came together because I realized even though the series isn’t done, they are still worthy of being shown, as they still carry so much power together.

In that moment, I realized the represents us as a sisterhood. Even if there isn’t as many as we’d hoped, or when we feel we’re not ready, or alone, the sisterhood is always there. Even in times of such grief, sorrow and the unknown, We are Stronger Together.

We are Powerful.

Come and see it. Come and feel it.

This absolute bad BABE .ywme is at a powerlifting competition today!!! And fun fact, the sword in the painting is HERS that she won at a competition. How bada$s is that??

This painting is on its way to in down town Reno for the month of March for women’s history month.

I’m absolutely honored to share my work and to be able to show there at the beautiful space. I can’t wait to see all the pieces hung together!

I paint for the women who need a bit of courage, strength and inspiration in their lives… I paint for the version of me that needed to see more of that growing up.

You either love my work or you don’t. It’s ok, I know it’s not for everyone. Not everyone vibes with a strong dose of dissent 🥰👑💪
