A clarification regarding the Wolfie’s Off Main Founders Club:
We recently received a question regarding the old Wolfie’s Off Main Founders Club, so we wanted to clarify what that program was for anyone who may remember or participated in it.
During the planning and development of Wolfie’s Off Main several years ago, we created a small Founders Club fundraiser to help with the costs associated with trying to launch the restaurant.
Founders Club contributions were capped at $100 and were clearly presented from the beginning as donations. They were not investments, loans, deposits, purchases of ownership, or any other financial interest in Wolfie’s Off Main. There was never a promise of a financial return or repayment of the donated funds.
The only benefits associated with the Founders Club were a discount card and having the donor’s name displayed on the Founders Wall if and when the restaurant opened.
The money raised through the Founders Club was used toward the Wolfie’s launch effort, including helping fund our large pre-launch parking lot party. That event was held and featured five bands performing throughout the day, giant inflatable slides, multiple vendors, and other activities.
Unfortunately, despite a great deal of work, planning, and enthusiasm surrounding the project, Wolfie’s Off Main ultimately did not open. Because the restaurant never opened, the discount cards and Founders Wall never came to fruition.
That does not mean we have completely given up on the dream.
We would still love to open Wolfie’s Off Main someday. Other responsibilities and priorities have put that dream on the back burner for an indeterminate period of time, and there are currently no active plans or timeline for opening.
However, if the day ever comes when we are finally able to bring Wolfie’s Off Main to life, we intend to honor every one of our original Founders Club donors. Their names will still go on the Founders Wall, and they will receive the discount cards originally planned for them. We have not forgotten the people who believed in the idea early on.
For now, we simply want to be clear about the nature of the original program. Founders Club contributions were donations toward the effort to launch Wolfie’s, not investments or refundable payments. Those funds were spent years ago toward the project and the launch activities for which they were raised.
We remain genuinely grateful to everyone who supported the idea, attended our events, donated, volunteered, performed, or otherwise helped us try to make Wolfie’s Off Main a reality.
Maybe someday we’ll finally get to put those names on the wall.
