Well, after over a year of hard work by myself and many others, two days in the studio have condensed into a physical relic that will outlast us all (that is, if people in the future can figure out how to play a CD, which is questionable). It is a good feeling to have a new group album that I am proud of, and it will feel even better to start selling these and get this amazing group of Michael Blake, RJ Miller, Scott Colberg, and special guest Jonathan Lam on the road. Beautifully mixed by Tyler Wood, with artwork by Keri Kimura and notes by Henry Finch, this album will be released on Songlines November 4th but you can pre-order it RIGHT NOW through Bandcamp: https://ryanblotnick.bandcamp.com/album/kush-2 Let's get those pre-orders in and see if I can make the jazz charts on the release date! Release concerts are scheduled at Manhattan Inn (11/13 at 8:30pm with Eliot Cardinaux Solo and Ari Chersky Quartet) and Rockwood Music Hall (11/14 at 10pm) so save the date! A preview of "Lunenberg" (which finally achieved Jakob Bro's challenge of writing a song with only three or four chords, despite my propensity for complex harmony) is streaming for free on most digital outlets (itunes, spotify, tidal, etc.) and you can hunt around for other tracks on the Songlines website as well. Thank you all for the support
