Summer sign-ups are officially OPEN!
We’re doing something a little different this year: no auditions to join, just sign up for an amazing, brilliant, life-changing summer and you’re in!
On the first day of rehearsals, auditions will be held and roles will be chosen.
This year we are returning to one of the greatest American fairy tales of all time: the world of Oz. Join many characters you know (and many you don’t!) to craft a story that will explore ideas of belonging, power, and home. Students write original scripts, music, and create original choreography to bring this show to life for family and community!
If there is an amazing artist in your life, this summer camp is where they belong!
Check the link in our bio for sign ups. Currently, we have an EARLY BIRD special going on until 2/14/26, so sign up now!

Sometimes, you meet amazing humans in life who see you, understand you, and know how much the art you make matters.
Our first iteration of our website was born over a decade ago, designed and made by the amazing Jason Ober. It was wonderful and exactly what we needed at that time.
Now, in 2026, a member of our company uses her brilliant talents to make our next iteration. Same URL, same company—brand new look. If you can know someone like Kate Stark ( ), count yourself lucky. In fact, she’s tagged her if you want to hire her yourself!
Check out our updated website at inboccaperformance.com. You’re gonna be FLOORED. We promise. 🐺

Ten years ago, we created a chilling piece of theatre that would shift the ground underneath all of us here at InBocca.
We premiered Charlie’s Girls at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival in 2016. It was a play that examined the fearsome and frightening ways in which a group of hippies, primarily young women, were brainwashed by Charles Manson in the summer of 1969, and the horrific murders they committed under his command.
We then re-mounted that show in 2018 at the Boulder Fringe Festival, where we were awarded Best Ensemble.
This year, we are honored to announce that we have been awarded the Kentucky Foundation for Women’s Emerging Artist Grant, with which we will be re-mounting, revising, and re-examining Charlie’s Girls. It is not enough to see these young women as only victims, but to ask ourselves what is so appealing, especially to white women, about cult leaders and the patriarchal tenets they uphold.
Keep your eyes on this space for an announcement in the next few months regarding CHARLIE’S GIRLS. We cannot wait to bring this story back to life: updated, terrifying, and more relevant than ever.

This summer, as we made the transition to a new space, we encountered a lot of difficulties we had not been expecting.

With great grace, talent, and joy, our community of artists stepped up and gave their time and talent to us to make sure our kids could still have a show this summer.

We can never express our gratitude; not only did it make this show happen, but reminded all of us how beautiful collaboration and devising can be.

Consider spending 90 minutes of your time supporting these amazing artists this weekend as many of them perform alongside our NextGen actors.

Know Theatre of Cincinnati and InBocca Performance are pleased to announce the premiere of OUTLAWS OF SHERWOOD, a devised theatre production created by the Know Theatre/InBocca Performance Summer Theatre Youth Program.

Who answers when the people need a hero? How do the people rise up when they have nothing left? They must take matters into their own hands and who better to guide them than Robyn Hood? Join Robyn and her Merry Men as they join forces to fight the powers of Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Cheer them on as they fight back against unfair taxes, cruel arrests, and the loss of their homes and dignity.

Completely devised (written, conceived of, and choreographed) by the team of campers and adults,  this original new piece of theatre asks the questions of who has power, why, and what we can do to shift perspectives.

This production stars the children of the camp in collaboration with six of our treasured local adult performers: Nicole Hershey, Sarah Spurling, Perry Hensley, Krista Noll, Grace Wagner, and Amira Beck-Borden.

Performances are August 1st and 2nd at 7pm and 3rd at 2pm at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati at 1120 Jackson St., Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Dearest community!

We have made a super awesome shift from Ft. Thomas to downtown Cincinnati, partnering with the brilliant home of edgy theatre, The Know Theatre. Because of this, we have sacrificed some things and need just a little support to get our summer camp funded.

On this post we have listed our needs. If you are willing to support, even in a small way, we will be so grateful and will send you a piece of vintage InBocca swag as a thank you!

Please consider helping us raise the $2200 we need to make sure camp is comfortably funded.

All donations can be sent to our Venmo through the link in our bio or ! Thank you for making weird, cool, subversive art available for ALL kids!
