Southgate has your Saturday plans covered. 🍁

HarvestFest takes over Market Center Park this Saturday, and there’s a LOT happening in one afternoon.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

The kids can climb aboard the big trucks at Touch-a-Truck, burn off some energy in the Kids Olympics and bouncing house, paint faces, make crafts, check out the pumpkin patch, and help pick a winner in the Scarecrow Contest.

The grown-ups can wander the artisan vendors, grab something from the food trucks, enjoy the music, and — hopefully — wear the kids out before dinner. 😂
And here's the best part: it’s FREE to attend.

📅 Saturday, October 10
⏰ 10 AM–3 PM
📍 Market Center Park, 13631 Eureka Rd., Southgate

🍣🥢 A FOODIE ADVENTURE AT BLACK PINE TREE! 🥢🍣

What an amazing experience! I was invited to join Downriver News Network with Stelios and my new friend Ryan for a special video visit to one of Southgate’s local gems — Black Pine Tree Restaurant! ❤️

We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Mr. Lee, who shared the incredible story behind this family-owned restaurant. Mr. Lee and his brother started with a dream back in 2001, and together they created a beautiful place where great food, family, and hospitality come together. 🥰

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality and customer service were OUT OF THIS WORLD! 🌟 And the food… WOW! 🤤 Everything was absolutely delicious!

It was wonderful hearing Mr. Lee talk about his journey and the love he and his brother have put into their restaurant over the years. This is exactly the kind of local business that makes our Southgate community special. ❤️

📍 I highly recommend Black Pine Tree Restaurant in Southgate! If you haven't been, go check them out and support this amazing local family-owned business!

🙏 Thank you, Mr. Lee, for the amazing hospitality and for welcoming us into your restaurant!

🎥 The video is coming soon! For now, here are a few pictures from our visit. 📸

And yes… your friendly DDA Director is officially TAKING A BREAK AFTER A FOOD COMA! 😂🍜🥢
