The COVID-19 pandemic has caused us all to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Avocado Reggae Festival! Contracts with event venues and Music Talent were unable to be secured due to the frustrating circumstances made yet worse by the uncertainty of COVID-19.

NOW…… Let’s look forward to 2022!

The date will be scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2022. We will begin planning hard starting in August 2022 but will begin now as we secure a venue and continue talks with vendors and Reggae Talent!

Avocado Reggae Festival Update!

While the world scrambles to contain COVID19, we are still planning (and hoping!) to have the Avocado Reggae Festival as scheduled for April 17, 2021.
We are in the process on finding a location that will accommodate our vision of an enjoyable event. Our first location was unable to approve alcohol consumption on site so we are heading to plan B.
The plan has always been to have GREAT music, Good Food, Fun for Kids and of course 1 or 2 beer gardens.

I will update more often or as changes arise!

Kevin Kinsella is a reggae and roots rock musician who has participated in 28 studio albums since 1987. He is the founding member of John Brown's Body and 10 Ft. G***a Plant, he lives in Ithaca, New York. Kevin has been noted as one of the pioneers of the American reggae scene and has been called "Father of East Coast Reggae”.

One the greatest reggae bands to come out of Fallbrook, California: Raiz Muzik.Their name defines exactly what they’re all about. Raiz which literally means “root” in Spanish along with the uniquely written “muzik” imply a simplistic reggae, the original reggae. Raiz Muzik’s so far seven year career, consists of one full length released album (Reelection) and a recently released single (Calloused Hands). They are gradually proving to all of Southern California that they are one of the best local reggae bands around and that roots reggae is ready to make a comeback. Their sound is nothing like the current mainstream reggae that we’ve grown accustomed to hearing on the radio. The brothers Sonny Romero on vocals/drums and Sergio Gonzalez on keys use their clean beats, ingenious melodies and smooth licks to crawl inside your body and take your soul out for a dance or two. Got approval from the County and viewed our top choice for our venue. Just a few details to iron out, plus taking a look at another possible spot soon, the ball is rolling and picking up speed. This is tough but we're having fun! More to come soon.
