We spent a week in the snow! The fresh air and learning new things has been good for my heart! My kids and I were all first time skiers. The week was a huge a success! My muscles are ready for some epsom salt and a bubble bath!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner which is a perfect excuse for sending out a little snail mail! I wanted to share a few tips for the best use of your wooden stamps:

1. Make sure you are stamping your envelopes BEFORE placing your note or card inside.

2. Use smooth (not textured) paper envelopes

3. For the best ink coverage, tap your ink pad onto your rubber stamp, not your stamp into your ink pad

4. Wash your stamp with soap and water after you are finished stamping

5. Press your stamp evenly onto your paper, not at an angle. Do not rock your stamp.

6. Practice getting a clear imprint before using on your pretty envelopes!

This little shop started out with calligraphy. It changed to hand lettering and stamps, and now I have added watercolor portraits to the shop. I have sewn quilts, crocheted baby hats and scarves with handspun yarn, sewn baby clothes, and painted Easter eggs. The shop has moved from MS to NC and back again. It has grown from a local community to reaching nationwide customers. It's so fun for me to see my little shop grow and evolve, and the story is not yet finished! Here is to 2023 and all of the fun and adventures it will bring!

In honor of my birthday today, I wanted to take a look back at where I started with watercolors. I flipped through and found my very first watercolor portrait. It was of our house in Southern Pines. It makes me CRINGE to look at it now, but its all in the name of growth, right? I pride my business on having the best customer service. It is top priority. Top notch customer service keeps your customers coming back. People who buy stamps as wedding gifts, come back year after year for the brides in their life. Other customers gift house paintings to each of their friends who have recently moved. Some customers purchase place cards and invitations every time they host a party. 75% of my sales are from repeat customers. That is a number that I can get behind. I stay in contact with my customers to update them throughout the process from purchasing all the way to receiving it in their mailboxes.
