Musical Vision for Labyrinth Choir
Labyrinth Choir collaborates with its audience and with local artists in order to create a new type of thema
tic musical performance. The audience is invited to sing, speak, and dance, so that concerts become participatory events, rather than passive experiences. Some ideas include creating podcasts for audience members to learn more involved, intricate pieces prior to the performance. Labyrinth choir performs various genres of music: classical, spirituals, jazz, and popular songs. We plan to feature local artists - painters, photographers, poets, writers, dancers - and give them opportunities to share their arts within the context of Labyrinth concerts. Our musical mission includes supporting other local choral and instrumental ensembles and collaborating with them in performance.
