I usually don’t rush into the studio after afternoon of mountain biking, but I was pretty motivated to roll out some ink for this one last night. “The Patron Saint of Trail Builders / So that others may experience flow and joy.” This one is dedicated to all trail stewards and builders out there!

The Patron Saint of Trail Building, freshly carved and not yet inked. Spent National Trails Day with a shovel and a crew — came home and finished this block the same night. The print comes next.

It is always exciting to sit down and sign a limited edition of prints! This one is extra exciting because they are soon to be headed off to the good folks at to benefit the Great Basin Trails Stewardship!

It is always a pleasure when the reaches out in need of new artwork! Originally I was only doing this in black and white, but I absolutely could not resist seeing it printed with some color!

Rolling out some warm lantern light tonight. Hopefully printing the final layer tomorrow! Stay tuned…

Roll the ink, pull the proof, press it on a shirt. This stripped-down version of the Fears, Tears and Beers image hits different — fewer lines, more attitude. A rider, a rocky trail, a couple of beers, and just enough tears to be honest about it.

Peel it back. There it is. So excited I can’t stop watching! Carved plate, pressed ink, a rider tearing down a Nevada trail. The Fears, Tears and Beers fundraiser print is finished — this project is just like riding trails, all effort in the beginning turning into all reward in the end!

Peeling the first one back for the Fears, Tears and Beers trail alliance fundraiser. This one came from a real place — years of riding trails that someone else woke up early to build, armed with a Pulaski, shovel and a vision. Hand-carved, hand-pulled, and made with a lot of gratitude.

So incredibly excited that this one is finally ready for ink! It was really fun taking this one from rough sketch to ready to print. Cannot wait to pull the first print back!
