I know it has been a while since you had an update from us.

We still are not quite sure when it will be safe for us to open. However our friends Arcadia National Bar have an idea of how to open and do things safely, while also opening up a community space again for the future (Port City's old venue)

I know it's been awhile since I've spoken to you guys. I still promise you that G**O Escape Room will be back. But as of right now I do not know when that will be.

But please still keep supporting local businesses. there are so many businesses that are doing excellent safety procedures, please support them.

We have seen many businesses asking for support at this time and right now that is how I would like to ask you to support us, by supporting them.

I do have a feeling that I am going to need to ask for your support in the future, we have been paying our rents the whole time through the pandemic, and we can keep doing this. But I know when it is safer we will more than likely have to call on you and hopefully these businesses will help do the same for us.

Hello everyone,

Currently at this time G**O Escape Room and all other Maine Escape Rooms can be open as Maine has entered Phase 3. However, at this time G**O Escape Room will remain closed. We are still working on new advancements and wish that we could provide entertainment for you, your families and your businesses. Based on current studies Escape Rooms are not a safe way to have fun.

We hope that you have a happy and safe Summer, we hope that you enjoy the wonders that Maine has to offer. We will keep you up to date as we continue to evaluate things as they change.

Congratulations to Maxwell Farms-Pick Your Own Strawberries for opening safely and responsibly!

Their guidelines for safety are simple and easy to follow! The berry's are so sweet!

We are getting a high amount of phone calls everyday of people asking why we are not currently open.

Currently the Maine guidelines are not allowing for any indoor amusement activities. Yes we have seen that there are other indoor amusement activities as well as escape rooms open during this time, however it is breaking Maine Government and CDC guidelines.

Again I would love to see the comments section filled with businesses following guidelines and doing great things!

I'd love to also add Smiling Hill Farm and a special shout out to Farmington Underground that has pivoted to doing outdoor scavenger hunts!

Maine is steadily creating more great procedures for reopening. At this time there hasn't been a lot of talk about indoor recreational activity.

I (Richard Reynolds the owner of G**O) personally have reached out to the Department of Economic and Community Development to hopefully start creating guidelines about procedures that Escape Rooms should use once we are able to reopen. However just because we might be given the greenlight by the government in the future that does not mean that customers will feel safe to enter our business.

While I continue to work with this team I also want to work with all of you. What would make you feel safe while playing an Escape Room game? To those that have never played an Escape Room what can I do to make my business feel safe to you? To those of you that work in indoor recreational activities including Escape Rooms what would make you feel safety to work there during these times?

We are still encouraging you that if you are not feeling good we would prefer if you stayed home during this time, we will be here after everything is better.

We also have these new games in! We know they're not quite the same thing as a real escape room but we hope that these will help for those of you who are stuck at home and need an eacape! ;)

Regarding COVID-19 and G**O Escape Room

Hello Friends and Customers. We would like to take a moment to thank everyone that is supporting entertainment with the pandemic COVID-19 and to thank everyone that is taking this seriously as it is a true pandemic.

We are proud of everyone practicing safer techniques to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
Here are some things that we are doing at G**O Escape Room to make sure that we are doing our best at staying safe and fun.

When checking out on our website for the last few days we have removed the fee to private a room from now until the end of the month. If you are not sure if your reservation is private and you would like it to be, please contact us with your booking number.

We have increased the time in between our booking schedule to allow time for the room to be cleaned and disinfected more thoroughly than usual.

We are as excited to see you as ever; however, we encourage you to stay home if you are not feeling well. We do have brand new EXIT Games if you want to play a board game version of an escape room! Please keep yourself and those around you safe, and we will be here when you are better.
