Registration for our Winter Children’s Workshop production of Peter Pan Jr is now open!

Based on the beloved classic tale, PETER PAN JR. is a magical musical adventure filled with imagination, friendship, and unforgettable songs. Participants will journey to Neverland alongside Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, and the Darling children as they encounter pirates, mermaids, Lost Boys, and the infamous Captain Hook. Along the way, students will build performance skills, confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a fun, supportive theatrical environment.

For years, Lyric’s children’s programs have provided young performers with theatrical experiences led by skilled educators and theater professionals committed to helping students grow both onstage and off. This year’s production is led by returning program leaders Jamie & Joe Swenson. Together, they create an encouraging, engaging rehearsal environment where students of all experience levels can thrive while working toward a fully staged musical production.

We are excited to be hosting a Musical Theater Sound Mixing Seminar at Lyric Music Theater!

This hands-on session is designed for anyone interested in learning how theatrical sound works. Whether you’re brand new to the audio booth, a current volunteer looking to build your skills, or someone who wants to feel more confident mixing a live production.

We’ll cover:
- The layout of Lyric’s sound system and signal flow
-How to route and configure the mixing console
-Wireless microphone setup and management
- Mixing vocals with a live band
- Script preparation, cueing, and show workflow
- Troubleshooting common issues before and during a performance

Audition Announcement: Finding Neverland!💫

Do you “Believe” you can be a part of the story that tells the tale of how “We’re All Made of Stars?” Come “Play” with us and audition for Finding Neverland! Let that “Circus in Your Mind” have a little fun while “The World is Upside Down.” We can’t promise an invite to “The Dinner Party,” but “All that Matters” is giving it your best. Hope to see you there!

Audition Information:
Tuesday, July 7th and Thursday, July 9th
Children’s auditions will be from 6-7 PM
Adult Auditions will be in two slots – 7 PM and 8:15PM
Please prepare approximately 16 bars from a song of your choice and provide piano accompaniment if it is not from this show.
Each audition slot will conclude with a brief dance audition.

Performance Dates:
September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th at 7:30 PM
September 13th, 19th (Saturday), 20th, and 26th at 2 PM.

Rehearsals will primarily be Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the occasional Tuesday.
Please note Tech Sunday Rehearsal will be Sept 6th (Labor Day Weekend) and attendance is required.
