Please come to listen to beautiful music at the WCO's next concert, this Sunday, May 17 at 7 PM in Hillman Hall, Cullen Center, 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton.

The concert will feature the three winners of this year’s Westminster Conservatory concerto competition: Alan Li performing Mozart’s Andante in C for Flute and Orchestra, Wei-En Erin Liao performing the first movement of Crusell’s Clarinet Concerto No. 1, and Cherie Xu performing the first movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major. In addition, the WCO will perform Copland’s Outdoor Overture, the second movement from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Castro's Menuet and Nelhybel’s Pavane for Brass and Percussion.

About this year’s concert, conductor Dr. Ruth Ochs shares: “We are thrilled to continue our long-standing tradition of presenting the winners of Westminster Conservatory’s annual concerto competition and providing them with the opportunity to perform with a full orchestra. These pieces showcase the students’ technical and artistic prowess, and we hope that the community will come out to support these young artists and applaud their achievement.”

Please join us this Sunday and support the Westminster Conservatory of Music concerto winners! Admission is $10 cash/person at the door.

🎶 Join Us for an Afternoon of Music – Sunday, March 29 at 3 PM! 🎶
The Westminster Community Orchestra invites you to a wonderful afternoon of music at our upcoming concert on Sunday, March 29 at 3 PM.

We are especially excited to feature recorder soloist Juliana Ogihara, performing Concerto No. 2 by John Baston. Juliana was born in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where she began studying recorder at Sonarte at the age of seven. There, she regularly performed with fellow students both for fun and in concerts.
After moving to New Jersey in 2024, Juliana continued her musical studies at Westminster Conservatory of Music with Timothy Urban and has been a regular performer in the Conservatory’s student recitals. In addition to recorder, Juliana also plays flute with the band at Millstone River School. When she’s not making music, she enjoys art, math, and gymnastics.

Come support this talented young musician and enjoy an inspiring program with the Westminster Community Orchestra. We look forward to sharing this special performance with you!
