Meet the performers featured at our Barn Burner in Brooklyn happening next week!

🔥Kento Morita (森田ケント) is a Japanese American clown, devised theater maker, and Anthem Award–winning AI artist based in New York. His interactive piece Moment in Manzanar won Bronze for Best Use of AI at the Anthem Awards. His solo clown show Japanese Grandma Funeral runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2026 (ZOO Venues). He has performed at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, SF Sketchfest, SketchFest Seattle, Tokyo Comedy Bar, UCB, and The Second City New York; appeared in the devised ensemble piece Guilt (dir. Sophie Amieva); and served as AI puppeteer and devising partner on Haruna Lee’s DADBOT at the Mercury Store alongside Jared Mezzocchi. He writes for The Onion and lends his voice to the Ambies Award–winning Cat in the Hat Cast and the video game Rise of the Ronin.

🔥Ethan & Gigi are an artistic duo from Brooklyn, New York whose work includes the dreams, idiocy, and vulnerability of clown, the cleverness and biting satire of sketch, and the urgency and fervor of agitprop (aka “agitFLOP”). They met in an improv class at Upright Citizens Brigade and have taken clown and physical theater workshops from master teachers such as Aitor Basauri, the clowns at Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Alex Tatarsky, Dr. Brown, and John Norris and Corey Podel.

🔥Agents Honeymoon and Butterfly are on a mission: save humanity with laughter, one show at a time. Wearing ridiculous action suits, they perform a spectacular fire juggling act and enlist the help of civilian sleeper agents. Then, in Operation Grand Finale, they shoot the world’s only bow and plunger high into the sky and catch it atop a giant one-wheeled stealth cycle. An amazing and hilarious spy-fi experience, Her Majesty’s Secret Circus truly has a license to thrill.

Your host the hobo clown king Jeff Seal 🤡

🔥Jeff Seal is a NYC based clown, filmmaker, and secret mime. He is a graduate of the Clown Conservatory at the San Francisco Circus Center and studied Decroux-based corporeal mime at the Hippocampe Project in Paris. He performs regularly with his two-man clown act, Jeff and Buttons, makes comedy videos with Bankrukt Productions and is one of the founding artistic directors of Cloud City Theater and Art space. His films and documentaries have been published by The New York Times, The Discovery Channel, AJ+, gothamist.com and screened at The Tribeca Film Festival.

🔥Elizabeth Zephyrine aka “Zeph,” is an award winning actress, writer, director, and creator who has been featured on The Daily Show, where she also directed and wrote on multiple Emmy-winning seasons. She writes, directs, and stars in many of her own shorts, and has been called one of “the funniest things on the internet” by The Guardian. Her comedy videos have garnered millions of views, and been regularly included in Vulture’s Best Comedy of the Week, as well as featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker, where she’s also appeared as an on-camera correspondent.

🔥Emma Steiner is an actor, writer, and singer originally from Escondido, California. She studied acting at the University of Michigan, and is a recent graduate (‘26) of the acting class at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.

Steiner will be performing an excerpt from her solo show whatever happened to the girls? directed by Max Sheldon.

This Saturday afternoon catch “To the Moon and Back” created and performed by Joy and Aaron.

Two clowns set out to go fishing and soon find themselves in a predicament: They have reeled the moon down to earth, and now they must put it back! Our two naive clowns make best use of their circus skills, their wit, a dash of salt, some cheese, a sock or two, and a little help from some friends to put the moon back where it belongs. To the Moon and Back is a fun show for all-ages, jam packed with juggling, acrobatics, comedy, and even a rocket ship!

To the Moon and Back is funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the six New England state arts agencies.
