We are so delighted to welcome Cristina Piecuch, a Peruvian-American illustrator and printmaker to Quinn Gallery! Originally from Arequipa, Perú, now based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Cristina holds a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Illustration from Grand Valley State University. Cristina has exhibited her striking lino-cut prints in fine art galleries across the country. She specializes in editorial and narrative illustration, blending traditional printmaking and digital media, driven by a passion for helping audiences connect through imagery and story.
Hand pressed onto handmade lokta papar, a paper from Nepal, “Muse Earth” depicts a mermaid figure adorning tattoos representing the earth and plant life. Inspired by early American Traditional tattoo styles, the designs that sailors adorned themselves with, often being the last keepsakes of their loved ones before going off to sea. Stop by the gallery to see more of her work now on display.
