🐾 Fun Fact Friday! 🐾

Today we’re featuring one of the most unique animals you can meet at Carousel Acres — the kinkajou! 🌿💛

Here are 5 fun facts about these adorable rainforest animals:

🐾 Kinkajous are related to raccoons! Even though they may look a little like monkeys, they’re actually members of the raccoon family.

🌙 They’re nocturnal, so they’re most active at night when they climb through the rainforest canopy looking for food.

👅 They have a long tongue that can be several inches long and helps them reach nectar and sweet fruit.

🍯 Kinkajous LOVE sweet foods! Their diet includes fruit, nectar, honey, and other tasty treats they find in the rainforest.

🌳 They’re excellent climbers. Their flexible ankles can rotate, allowing them to climb down trees headfirst and move around the branches with ease.

These little rainforest explorers are full of personality, and we’re always excited to share them with you! 🌿🐾

Yesterday we shared that an exciting new addition was on her way… and now it’s finally time to introduce her! 🤎✨

Meet Jolene, our 2 ½ month old kinkajou! 🥹🐾

Even though she was a little nervous when she first arrived, it didn’t take long before she started showing us her sweet personality. So far, Jolene is already so playful, lovey, and has been bonding so well . Within just a little time, she was already feeling like our new best friend. 🥰

We are so excited to watch her grow, build trust, and share this journey with all of you. Here’s to an amazing new adventure with our sweet girl, Jolene! 🤎
