After a successful stint in Baltimore performing "Living All Alone - The Phyllis Hyman Musical" we return this weekend to continue the story of the Iconic Billie Holiday in "Lady Sings the Blues" featuring the amazing Makeda Grier as Billie. Written and directed by John Ruffin there are only a few tickets left for the entire run so get them now to see this wonderful group of "young" artists perform at Theater 47 in Park Forest, Illinois. This is a story about a woman who stood up to abuse, to injustice and to social stigmas and with her voice cried out to a world determined to shut her down. The portrayal of Billie Holiday by Makeda Grier is powerful, insightful and vocally stunning. Whatever you do, don't miss the opportunity to see this amazing performance of "Lady Sing the Blues" masterfully written and directed by John Ruffin.
