I attended the 2019 R&B National Hall of Fame Awards event, held in Detroit Michigan this weekend with members of the Independents. Inductees included Ray Parker Jr., Mary Wells, Martha Reeves, Keith Washington, Stephanie Mills, Stevie Wonder and many many more. It was a fantastic event! Much thanks to Bill Randle who was instrumental in the Independents being there.
We MUST support veteran entertainers. Without them, current and upcoming artists would not have their current platform.
Why not bring an R&B Hall of Fame to Chicago - we certainly have the talent! Lamont Robinson, his family and foundation did an outstanding job!

Maurice Jackson’s Independents performed for Operation Push last June. They were joined by original members Chuck Jackson and Eric Thomas. Also joining them on stage was Chuck Jackson’s daughter, Felicia Jackson. This was a once in a lifetime show! Thanks for the invite, Rev. Jesse Jackson - it was our pleasure!
