We are so saddened to learn of Mike Springer’s passing. Mike has been an integral part of the orchestra program since Mrs. Fiedorowicz started working at SHPS. His daughter was a member of the 8th grade orchestra and both Mike and his wife, Donna, were staunch supporters of the orchestra program. They were always willing to help out in any way needed, including acting as chaperones, helping with stage set-up and tear-down, lighting, and the rest. Since his daughter’s graduation, Mike continued to work in the new auditorium and was a reliable, helpful presence. His love of music and community were obvious and he was always happy to share a story or offer to help out. It is hard to imagine music and theater productions without him in the booth or getting things ready to go. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
