Ok everyone. Big Lake Enduro is in trouble. There is only ONE - yes ONE RMEC Member offering to volunteer at this event and he has only 28 people signed up to help.

This is terrible - we need help big time. And now is the time to give back a little. Or else there won’t be an event. This is what promoters fear the most and it makes us all not want to do it again.

Contact David Bower asap and get signed up to help out for a day.

If anyone is interested in some fun riding and giving back, we will be in South Fork again this weekend working the north loop. Raking drainage features and berms back down and repairing the tundra. DM me for plans.

Competition and conservation can go hand in hand.

This weekend, Stay The Trail was proud to partner with the Shady B***o Enduro in South Fork, helping educate riders on responsible OHV recreation while supporting one of Colorado's premier off-road motorcycle events.

The Shady B***o works closely with the U.S. Forest Service and Colorado Parks and Wildlife to ensure the event is conducted responsibly. Every rider is required to pass a technical inspection with a clean motorcycle, a USFS-approved spark arrestor, and a valid Colorado OHV registration or permit. Racers are also required to stay on designated routes throughout the event.

Events like this demonstrate that recreation and stewardship aren't competing priorities. They go hand in hand.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, U.S. Forest Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and San Luis Valley Great Outdoors for working together to protect these incredible public lands while providing an unforgettable riding experience.

It has now come to my attention that there was a second un-permitted and unapproved photographer at the event. Our official Photographer is Branding by Bre. She had the media allowance for this event permit maxed out at 4, complete with motorcycles to get around. I already know who this person is and will address it on a formal level, but this looks bad on us - as we are trying to remain transparent and open with the USFS. So please - Support Branding by Bre. No one else.
