Virgilijs Tilks is a Latvian artist, curator, and educator based in Boston, Massachusetts, and Riga, Latvia. Their practice centers on site-specific sculptural installations that combine digital fabrication, found materials, and hand-crafted processes. Drawing on a background in architecture, photography, and exhibition design, Tilks investigates relationships between natural and artificial forms, perception, movement, and object ontology. Through spatial interventions and material assemblages, their work explores how objects generate meaning, suggest transformation, and mediate encounters between bodies, environments, and systems of attention.
