Zoo 62 is looking for some help for the remaining weekends in August and for Sept-October. These are for traveling events, this will require working weekends and the ability to lift 50lbs or more. 18+ only at this time.

Update on our Fox

Pebbles the Fennec Fox was rehomed to us with Bam Bam who we lost earlier this Summer. Pebbles was in good shape but unfortunately Bam Bam was not. The person who owned them had good intentions but exotic animals are not meant to be “pets”. The prior owner tried to provide veterinary care to Bam Bam with OTC medications and unfortunately Bam Bam lost his fight.

When owning animals, you must have adequate access to veterinary care and the funds to do so. After Bam Bam passed, Pebbles was very sad. We did everything we could to prevent loosing her to Broken Heart Syndrome. Our vet was very concerned for her. We supported her through those difficult times and we can say, she is doing amazing.

The necropsy report on Bam Bam has showed no concerns for a contagious disease so we have been given the “all clear” to find her a new mate.

I am happy to announce that we have located a potential mate for her in Texas. The 🦊 has passed his vet exam and has received the appropriate vaccines and clearance to transport.

Following our “Flintstones” theme we need to decide if he is going to be named “Fred” or “Barney”. He is due to arrive tomorrow afternoon.

We are looking for 2 plastic kiddie pools. Please let us know if you see them available while out shopping. It’s a little late in the season to snag them.

Theo got a new enclosure design and I think he loves it. At one point I had to play “Where’s Theo”.

Zoo 62 had a blast today! From camel rides and petting zoo to ending the night back at the farm for a private event. Who doesn’t love a good Foam Party! We had foam, fishing, bubbles, tattoos, balloon animals, and even snow cones! Thank you to everyone for today!
