"I am a new artist, learning to see the world more closely through paint. Inspired by the outdoors, I use each scene as a way to slow down, observe, and turn simple views into something meaningful.
Each painting is part of my growth—an exploration of color, light, and my own developing voice. Through my work, I invite others to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the quiet beauty that surrounds us every day."

🎨Artist Spotlight: Sarah Bolduc

Award winning artist, Sarah Bolduc, creates powerfully expressive abstract art utilizing multiple mediums. Her multifaceted pieces evoke emotions from both artist and viewer capturing unique landscapes, people, moments, and other visually stimulating impressions.

Sarah creates from her three studios on Lake Gaston in North Carolina and exhibits and sells her work in multiple gallery and gift shop locations in North Carolina and Virginia. Her 2021 awards include: Best of Show - “Open Window: An Alzheimer’s Journey”, an oil in the annual national Juried exhibit at Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford, VA and Honorable Mention for “Winter’s Calling”, a hand dyed white muslin transformation piece utilizing, rust, onion, coffee, chili, and cranberry at MacCallum More Museum and Gardens in Chase City, VA. In addition, Sarah serves as President of Lake Country Artisans Guild and volunteers at many art venues throughout the region helping to promote the arts at all levels for everyone.

"After a traumatic brain injury I experienced as a horse trainer, I gained the ability to draw realistically. I now draw all kinds of animal and human portraits with graphite, charcoal, and oil pastels, sharing my work nationally as private commissions and in shows."

Hear ye, hear ye! Join us tomorrow evening for the South Boston Tea Party right here at The Prizery!

The South Boston Tea Party is slated to be an evening of hearing the stories of several important Virginians. Each of the highlighted figures will have their story told and explained with hopes to reveal some of the lesser told, yet very important, contributions towards winning the Revolutionary War. Also, Mr. Patrick Henry Jolly, the 5th great-grandson of Governor Patrick Henry will be on hand to give the famous "Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death" speech.

All attending are encourage to get in the spirit by attending in colonial dress. The South Boston Tea Party will also have dancers performing popular moves from colonial times. And finally, there will be samplings of colonial era foods and of course, TEA. This event will be free to the public and is sponsored by the South Boston - Halifax County Museum and the Red Hill / Patrick Henry National Memorial.
