This week, Mixed Ed Entertainment is shining the spotlight on Meadowlark Weddings and Events in La Porte, Indiana! 🥂💍

And seriously… this place is a GEM. 💎

We recently had the opportunity to spend some time at Meadowlark, and we enjoyed every moment. The staff was professional, personable, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Even better, Meadowlark is family owned and operated, and you can genuinely feel the care and pride they put into the property and their guests.

The grounds have so much character! The pond is adorable, and the cocktail patio and garden area absolutely caught our attention. 😍 It’s the kind of space where you can already picture guests grabbing a drink, mingling, taking photos, and enjoying themselves before the party really gets going.

If you’re planning a wedding, reception, or special event in the La Porte area, honestly — go check these guys out. This is one of those hidden gems that deserves some attention.

I’ve been saying this for years, and I couldn’t agree more. 👏

A packed dance floor doesn’t start with the DJ—it starts with the bride and groom.

Your guests take their cues from you. If you’re out on the dance floor laughing, dancing, and having the time of your life, they’ll want to join in. If you’re sitting at your table, outside chatting, taking photos for long stretches, or calling it a night early, your guests often follow that energy too.

As DJs, we can play the perfect song at the perfect moment, but we can’t force people onto the dance floor. We can create the atmosphere, read the room, and keep the momentum going—but the biggest dance floor “killers” are when the couple isn’t part of the party.

At the end of the day, your wedding is a celebration. So get out there, dance with your favorite people, and make the memories. Your guests will follow your lead. ❤️🎉
