the uncomfortableness of life right now has been a life lesson, shaping the way that i set boundaries, show up for things as well as creating and just being a woman myself. rose colored glasses are off and we locked in… which prompted me to put my feelings into another self portrait shoot that ended with a couple of tears but a release also.

i am learning that all i know how to do is be myself. love me for me, my love for my son, for my loud cackle, my love for community and art, my forgiving—yet broken heart. my self portraits have become a diary… my feelings and moments etched in stone by photo paper and ink. i hope you feel the somberness.. but also feel my awakening. i have learned so much within my grief, it has empowered me in ways that i haven’t been empowered which is so weird… but i have to be okay with this new life, still wearing my heart on my sleeve. ❤️‍🩹
