We are the South Bend-Mishawaka Indiana Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) performing as the Valleyaires chorus. In October 2025, nineteen men with an average age of over 65 took the stage, sang, and earned our highest score in decades, winning the Cardinal District Chorus Championship, and for the first time in our 68-year history, qualified and have been invited to compete at the 2026 BHS International.

We will be one of the smaller choruses competing in America's Center, St. Louis, Missouri over the upcoming July 4th week, but we'll do our best to wow the audiences and judges.

So, why do we need your assistance? Honestly, we were surprised to win and be invited to International. The additional travel, parking, hotel, meals, and rehearsal costs were not in our individual or chorus budgets. Some of our members have started a fund to help members who need financial assistance to get to St. Louis for chorus rehearsals and the performance. Sound-wise, we can't afford to lose any of our 19 singers.

Any assistance you provide will help individual members and the entire Valleyaires chorus experience a dream come true - Singing on stage at a BHS International Convention! Thank you for your support!
