River Bend Chorus, Michiana's acapella show chorus for women, is a group of fun-loving, hardworking and dynamic women of all ages, occupations and backgrounds enjoying a musical journey of education and entertainment while advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony.
Founded in 1977, this local chapter of Sweet Adelines International has entertained audiences with its special brand of
four-part harmony throughout Michiana and even as far away as New York City. In 1991 RBC was honored to sing at Carnegie Hall for its 100th anniversary celebration! RBC performs a variety of music, including old standards, Broadway show-stoppers, contemporary pop and country, gospel, patriotic numbers and jazz -- giving audiences a quality performance that leaves them smiling and humming a familiar tune. River Bend is truly rooted in Michiana with members from the South Bend, Elkhart, New Paris, New Carlisle, Niles, and Union areas.
